I was a recruiter for three years. A normal week was three jobs on, a hundred CVs a job, interviews to book, clients and candidates to call, emails, LinkedIn posts, research, prep and team meetings. So many plates spinning that I was hardly on the phone, which was the actual job.
I always thought that if I just had a team around me, I’d be so much better and could go so much further. Someone to look after the emails, the follow-ups, the research, the reminders, the things that just need doing. Then I could be in the room with clients and candidates.
So I built that team. I wanted my time back, a clearer head and room to think. I made Vela to help me, then realised it could probably help everyone. I hope it takes the weight off for you too.
